The Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles is one of the world's leading LGBTQ+ choruses, and they are performing a series of three benefit concerts this week at The Actors' Church in London, also known as St. Paul's Church, Bedford Street, Covent Garden.

Love Across the Pond is being presented during Pride season and following GMCLA's appearances at WorldPride Amsterdam as part of a European Tour. The London dates will benefit the Terrence Higgins Trust, the UK's leading HIV and sexual health charity. Performances will take place this Friday 7th August at 7:30pm, and Saturday 8th August at 2:30pm and 7:30pm.

More than 80 singers from Los Angeles will be in London to share an uplifting celebration of Pride, community, and connection. Love Across the Pond is an energetic and heartfelt musical program spanning Motown, Broadway, pop, gospel and LGBTQ+ anthems. The concert features music from iconic artists including Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, Judy Garland, Elton John and Lady Gaga, alongside selections from beloved musicals such as Dreamgirls, The Wiz, La Cage aux Folles, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Rent and Wicked.

GMCLA Executive Director & Producer Lou Spisto says, "In our 47-year history, GMCLA has been overseas several times but never to the UK, so we are especially excited to be performing in London. Our musical program reflects the diversity of an American sound that we know a London audience will love, but more importantly it celebrates the joy, resilience and shared spirit that connect our LGBTQ+ communities across the Atlantic. We are honored to perform in support of the Terrence Higgins Trust, sharing music, pride and the belief that love and belonging know no borders."

This supports our ongoing work at Terrence Higgins Trust to end new HIV cases in the UK and tackle HIV stigma once and for all," added Terrence Higgins Trust Community Engagement Manager Martin Harris.

The London concerts are part of GMCLA's 2026 international tour, the Chorus's first overseas tour in more than 20 years. GMCLA is one of only four choruses worldwide invited to perform at WorldPride Amsterdam, where it will present five appearances, including performances at the famed Concertgebouw, as well as the televised WorldPride Opening Concert, and the official Canal Pride Parade before continuing on to London. The London performances this Friday and Saturday are at The Actors' Church or Inigo Jones Church, also known as St. Paul's in Bedford Street, Covent Garden.

The Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles, under the leadership of Executive Director & Producer Lou Spisto and Artistic Director Ernest H. Harrison, is in its 47th year of music and service. GMCLA continues to garner acclaim for artistic excellence while remaining deeply rooted to the Los Angeles community and beyond by promoting civil rights, tolerance, and acceptance through music. Founded in 1979 during the emergence of the gay rights movement, GMCLA has raised its collective voice in the movement toward equality, social justice, the AIDS crisis, the fight for marriage equality, and all those seeking to find their own voice.
	GMCLA's free community concert program has provided access to concerts to thousands each year, and its Alive Music Project has served over 100,000 high school students. The Chorus performs regularly at Los Angeles' historic Saban Theatre but has also staged concerts at Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Hollywood Bowl, Royce Hall, and the Alex Theatre. They have also appeared at New York's iconic Carnegie Hall, as well as touring throughout Europe, Russia, and South America. With these tours, as well as extensive presence on YouTube and social media, the Chorus has developed followers across the globe.
