| Welcome to the Now Playing Reviews Database where
you can find our opinion of films which have had a cinema release in the UK.
Each of these movies are reviewed from a gay perspective, giving them
both an overall star rating plus our exclusive gay rating. The more stars out of a possible 10, the
better the film; similarly the more pink triangles, the greater the gay interest. A full list of
all our reviews appears below, and this week's current films are found on the Now Playing Main Page.
Most films are now available for rent on DVD and we recommend
ScreenSelect who operate an efficient online rental service by post with no late fees
and you can keep up to 3 DVDs for as long as you like.
If you'd like a film permanently in your DVD collection, then the best prices are
normally found at Amazon.

Ali G Indahouse
Now you can see a special report from the London premiere of the film plus
scenes that have been banned from British tv by watchdog the BAC.
The ads have been declared “unfit for TV” by the commission as we are in the Queens
Golden Jubilee year, and Universal Pictures was asked to seek permission from the
Queen herself to run them. It’s not the first time Ali, played by Sacha Baron Cohen, has caused controversy in recent weeks.

The BBC were forced to issue an apology after Ali appeared on Sara Cox’s Radio 1
show last month and claimed he had “knobbed” J Lo, smuggled weed back from Jamaica
and called Pop Idol winner Will a “batty boy”.
Ali G Indahouse currently on release tells the story of Ali’s rise to the House of Commons from Staines
and stars Charles Dance and Michael Gambon alongside Sacha Baron Cohen.
