| Welcome to the Now Playing Reviews Database where
you can find our opinion of films which have had a cinema release in the UK.
Each of these movies are reviewed from a gay perspective, giving them
both an overall star rating plus our exclusive gay rating. The more stars out of a possible 10, the
better the film; similarly the more pink triangles, the greater the gay interest. A full list of
all our reviews appears below, and this week's current films are found on the Now Playing Main Page.
Most films are now available for rent on DVD and we recommend
ScreenSelect who operate an efficient online rental service by post with no late fees
and you can keep up to 3 DVDs for as long as you like.
If you'd like a film permanently in your DVD collection, then the best prices are
normally found at Amazon.

American Wedding
Movie Rating:
Funny Enough |
|
Jim (Jason Biggs) and Michelle (Alyson Hannigan) have put away the pies and
flutes that served as sex toys in their teenage years and exchanged them for
wedding bands in this third and final American Pie instalment. In fact,
they've also dispensed with several "best friends" from the first two films: the
characters once played by Natasha Lyonne, Chris Klein, Tara Reid, Mena Suvari,
and Shannon Elizabeth have simply ceased to exist.

That's too bad, because the male/female dynamic of the ensemble was what made the
other outings so engagingly raucous. What's left are some dumb wedding
jokes and rings hidden in dog poop. Oh, it's funny enough, just nowhere near as
tasty as the first two pieces of Pie. And what's this? Stifler's mum
(Jennifer Coolidge) getting only three minutes of screen time? Say it isn't so!
