| Larry Gigli (Ben Affleck), a dumb mob thug, kidnaps a young kid with a nonspecific mental illness (Justin Bartha) in an extortion plot. Ricki (Jennifer Lopez), a beautiful lesbian and a thug herself, is sent in by the mob boss to help Gigli keep the kid under wraps. | |

Naturally, Affleck wants her, and in this
Bizarro World, all it takes to turn her into a heavy-breathing Ben-worshipper
are his flexed pecs and displays of good-hearted idiocy. In fact, his therapeutic effect on her is so great that even the kidnappee's explosive Tourette's-like profanity and mental illness are pretty much cleared up by film's end, as the three form a cute little family. Yes, it's that kind of bad, with a go-nowhere script and quotably awful dialogue. Ben and Jen may have found love on the set, but audiences will be searching for the emergency exits. |
