| When a serial killer sets up shop in Montreal, police detective Leclair (Tcheky Karyo) turns to FBI profiler Illeana Scott (Angelina Jolie) for help. The investigation gets a break when art dealer James Costa (Ethan Hawke) catches the murderer in the act, but the sexual tension between the comely Fed and her witness threatens to compromise the case. | |

There are plenty of laughs - all of them unintentional - in this
violent, virtually suspense-free thriller. The preposterous plot defies
all logic, the characters' actions lack motivation and sense, and the
luscious, but vacant Jolie is simply unbelievable in the role of a genius
criminologist. Even the erotic subplot fails to catch fire, thanks to the complete absence of chemistry between Jolie and the charisma-free Hawke. |
