The 17th London Lesbian & Gay Film festival kicked off in style on Wednesday night with a star
filled premiere of Gasoline.
Gasoline is a thrill-a-minute tale of love, death and homophobia. It is
gritty and powerful with moments of the darkest humour, and saw audiences at the Odeon West End
gasp, laugh and cry (often at the same time).
The film is a truly captivating, bitter-sweet, love story and has definitely set the pace for the
rest of the festival.
Audiences at the Odeon West end were then treated to the opportunity to put their questions to Gasoline Director Monica Stabrini, before heading off to a chic party
at London's Soho House.
The champagne and film talk flowed late into the night. The programmers, film makers, festival
staff and even some of the audience looked tired, but pleased at such a successful start to the
festival. High standards have been set, and this will undoubtedly be London's (probably the
world's) best Lesbian & Gay Film Festival yet!
Now is definitely the time to buy all your festival tickets, we are expecting sell-out audiences for
all films this year. You can find ticket booking information right here on the website.
While you're about it make sure you buy a festival t-shirt - this will be the coolest thing to
be seen around town in for some time yet...
